My lived experience as an immigrant shapes how I show up in public service. It’s why I will always advocate for policies rooted in humanity, respect, and dignity. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity — no exceptions. What we are seeing from ICE right now does not reflect that.
As your councilmember, I will continue to speak out and do everything within my legal authority to push back against harmful federal immigration practices coming from the White House and the Department of Homeland Security. Our city cannot remain silent. All politics is local — and Federal Way’s immigrant communities deserve to know they are seen, valued, and respected.
This comes from my own story. It’s why I stand alongside our immigrant community. Our immigrant neighbors are part of the fabric of Federal Way, and they deserve to feel safe, welcomed, and included.
